What To Expect

Clear your schedule. You can expect to be at the home inspection for about 2-3 hours depending on the size, age, and complexity of the house. Obviously a one bedroom condo and a 2 family house are going to take different amounts of time to complete.  It is very important that you accompany the inspector during the entire process.

Don’t bring family & friends. To often clients use the time of the inspection to show the house to family and friends. We know that you are excited to show everyone your new house, but the inspection time is for inspecting. There are over 400 items checked during the inspection process. Most of these items require some type of explanation regarding their condition.

Bring a notebook. You will receive a full inspection report at the completion of the home inspection. There are also helpful hints discussed during the inspection that don’t appear in the report. Bringing a notebook may help you remember some of those items.
