The Difference
Above Grade Experience
Above Grade has performed over 10,000 home inspections in the Hudson Valley area. This is our full time job. We are available 24 hours a day to schedule or perform an inspection.
Above Grade Technology
We offer state of the art testing instruments. For example: our thermal imaging camera. We can see what other inspectors cannot. Why would you invest in a home inspector that doesn’t invest in himself. We have combustion analysing technology, thermal imaging, leak detection, moisture meters, carpet probes for moisture, etc. These tools are essential for a thorough inspection. When calling around to hire an inspection company you need to ask what tools he plans to use. MOST INSPECTORS I KNOW SHOW UP WITH A FLASH LIGHT AND SCREWDRIVER.
One Inspection, One Inspector
There are several companies that inspect with the “team approach.” The inspection process is complicated enough. In our opinion the “team approach” is a way for inspectors to complete an inspection faster.Although very appealing to both the realtor and inspector, this process has a negative affect on the inspection. You are guaranteed to see items on the inspection report that weren’t discussed during the inspection. We believe in a one-on-one approach. You will cover the house with your inspector to gain as much knowledge and insight as possible. Yes it will take longer, but the knowledge you will gain will be priceless.
The Above Grade Report
Hands down we offer the most comprehensive detail oriented report on the market. The check mark and carbon copy days are over. Technology allows us to type a customized narrative report, add digital photos, and burn the report on a cd. All completed at the time of the inspection.
Uncompromising Value
Someone once told me that “price is only an issue in the absence of value”. Provide exceptional value and the price is secondary. We offer the best value in the Hudson Valley. Call today and see for yourself.
Customer Service
The inspection process doesn’t end the day of the inspection. We promise you there will be follow up discussions right up until your day of closing. Above Grade is available to answer all of your questions and guide you through the remainder of the process.
Yes! We go ON the roof. Believe it or not, there are several home inspectors in the Hudson Valley that refuse to go on the roof. True, the standards set forth by the State of New York don’t require a walk on the roof, but what would you prefer?
